Why it earns a look
- The closed handle covers the saw teeth.
- A 10-inch blade gives a useful middle ground between pack size and cutting stroke.
Where it asks for a compromise
- Check the blade lock each time it is opened.
A saw that can stay in the garden bag
This format makes sense when pruning is one of several jobs on a walk around the yard. Open and lock it before approaching the cut, then fold it before moving to the next task. The compact format is less useful when you need maximum blade length for a long session.
Living with it in the garden
Lock the blade fully before each cut.
Remove sap and debris before folding the blade.
