Why it earns a look

- The short blade is easier to fit among nearby stems.
Where it asks for a compromise
- A short stroke means more repeated movement on larger branches.
A compact saw that earns its place in a small kit
The seven-inch blade is useful when portability matters more than maximum cutting length. It is a good scale for the occasional branch encountered while tending beds. A ten-inch folding saw or a fixed saw makes more sense when pruning becomes the main job for the afternoon.
Living with it in the garden
Keep the cutting path clear of hands and surrounding stems.
Clean sap and cover the teeth for storage.
