Nozzles & Watering WandsOUR TAKE
Orbit 58993 Pro Flo 7-Pattern Thumb-Control Nozzle
A D-grip hose nozzle with seven spray patterns and thumb-operated water control.
Choose this model for one nozzle for moving between plant watering and garden cleanup.
- Good for
- One nozzle for moving between plant watering and garden cleanup.
- Look elsewhere if
- You need the reach of a wand for hanging baskets.
- The tradeoff
- A compact nozzle is versatile nearby but cannot extend your reach.
Why it earns a look
- The thumb control changes flow without holding a trigger.
- Several patterns let one nozzle cover different watering tasks.
Where it asks for a compromise
- Watering higher baskets still requires bringing the nozzle close enough to aim.
Pick the spray for the plant in front of you
A gentle watering pattern suits a pot of seedlings better than a concentrated cleaning jet. The useful feature is being able to change both pattern and flow as you move around the yard. For baskets well above arm height, a wand is the more comfortable shape.
Living with it in the garden
Start with low flow near loose soil.
Release hose pressure after watering.
