Battery Hedge TrimmersOUR TAKE
Sun Joe X20-HEDGE-2A hedge trimmer
Sun Joe X20-HEDGE-2A hedge trimmer pairs a hedge trimmer format with battery power.
A 22-inch blade gives this trimmer a clear role along straight hedge faces.
- Good for
- Hedge shaping along faces that suit a 22-inch blade.
- Look elsewhere if
- The stems exceed the specified cutting capacity, or the hedge needs another reach format.
- The tradeoff
- The blade length needs room along the hedge, while stem thickness remains a separate cutting-capacity limit.

Where it asks for a compromise
- The blade length needs room along the hedge, while stem thickness remains a separate cutting-capacity limit.
Start with the hedge shape
X20-HEDGE-2A uses a hedge-trimming format. Compare that length with the depth of the hedge and the space you have to work along it.
Plan the trimming session
See the exact manufacturer package contents. Keep the blade clean and follow the model instructions for stem capacity and blade care.
Living with it in the garden
Clear debris from the hedge and check the blade before starting.
Clean and store the blade as directed after trimming.
Which one belongs in your shed?
Sun Joe 24V-HT18-LTE hedge trimmer
Choose the shorter 18-inch Sun Joe hedge trimmer with a 2Ah kit when the hedge layout favors a smaller blade and included charging equipment.
