Read our takeA 42-inch battery lawn tractor on EGO's 56V platform.
The TR4204 makes sense for a 42-inch battery tractor setup with a useful range of mowing controls.
The TR4204 and EGO ZT4214L both offer a 42-inch headline deck width, but they put the operator in different steering formats. I would settle that choice before comparing battery counts. The TR4204 belongs on the list when a lawn-tractor layout is the arrangement you want for the route.
The twelve height positions span 1.5 to 4.5 inches, with three blade settings and three drive speeds. Those give you defined controls to compare against the lawn-care plan. A broad adjustment range is useful when you have a reason for the settings; it does not decide the appropriate height for every grass type.
The current TR4204 kit pairs six 56V 6.0Ah batteries with an 800W charger. That is a useful foundation for a shared EGO setup. Give the tractor a parking bay and a suitable charging location, with enough access to bring the whole machine in after mowing.
Plan the full route through gates and the parking space.
Choose blade and drive settings for the conditions within the operating guidance.
Keep the charging arrangement ready for the intended mowing session.
