Drop SpreadersOUR TAKE
Agri-Fab 45-0288 tow-behind drop spreader
A 175-pound-capacity tow-behind drop spreader with a 42-inch working width.
The drop pattern is useful when you want a controlled band of material behind a suitable towing machine.
- Good for
- A lawn-care route planned for towing and drop application.
- Look elsewhere if
- A hand-carried or walk-behind spreader would cover the job more simply.
- The tradeoff
- A tow-behind unit needs compatible towing and room for turns.
At a glance
- Hopper rating
- 175 pounds
- Working width
- 42 inches
- Application format
- Tow-behind drop spreader
Why it earns a look
- A defined drop band rather than a broadcast pattern.
- Poly hopper and galvanized-steel agitator.
Where it asks for a compromise
- The towing route and machine are part of the purchase.
Plan a banded route
The 42-inch drop width belongs in the route measurements alongside gates and turns. Use the directions for the exact lawn material and the machine before filling the hopper; its weight capacity is not an instruction to load every material to that amount.
Living with it in the garden
Use the material setting and towing procedure specified for the job.
Keep the hopper and mechanism maintained as directed.

Agri-Fab Pull Behind Broadcast Spreader for Seed
